A story with just 12 vowels
A blue horse... a striped buffalo... and a mushroom-picking duck. What do they have in common? First, in Lao, each animal has a cat-in-the-hat style rhyming name. Second, they each want to know why that chicken (gai nyai) is so big. This is our easiest book, using just 12 vowels (which, in Lao, are harder to learn than consonants), memorable characters, and a touch of suspense.
