A Hmong girl
Soulinda wakes up under a mosquito net, washes her face, and her day begins. This picture book shows daily life in a rural village where most people belong to the Hmong and Lue ethnic groups. Soulinda goes to school, practices a traditional dance, and helps with the family's daily tasks.
While it will be enjoyed by many ages and ethnic groups, this book is particularly intended to appeal to Hmong children who don't use the Lao language in their home, as they learn to read and speak it.
