Reading helps us learn to communicate better. We learn about other people and countries. You can take a book with you wherever you go. Information in books can help your family have better health, and grow more food. Reading skills are the doorway to better education. It gives us interesting things to talk about. Stories help us understand our life better. And reading is fun.

If you grew up with books, you may never have thought about all the benefits they bring. Here we've enumerated 22 reasons to read, with individuals of all ages giving personal examples and testimony.
