A small child impulsively runs into the street ... truck brakes screech, but too late ... and the boy spends his next two years moping inside his family's small home, unable to walk, unaware that anything can be done so that he can walk again
In Laos, an organization named COPE can help with the rehabilitation process for victims of accidents and unexploded bombs. This is the story of Sandar, who didn't smile for two years, until COPE fitted him with a new leg. We hope, as this book reaches remote villages, it will help others who have lost a limb to know that help is available for them, and how to get it.
