Sioubon learned that Kong feels the same way about her, as she does about him... Sackda learned to ride a buffalo when he visited his grandparents at age 11... Linthong sped along too fast on his motorbike and landed in the hospital... and an unnamed writer wanted too much, too fast, and landed up in jail.
These matter-of-fact stories about growing up in Lao are published with Lao and English side-by-side, so that Lao students can practice English by reading about familiar subjects, while visitors can get a glimpse of another culture.
